Help Build a School for Nyima

A School for Nyima Koroma

This project is about kids helping kids: the students at Fraser Valley Christian Highschool (www.fvchs.bc.ca) are trying to raise money to build this girl a new school. In fact, the land has been bought near where this picture was taken. Want to help out? 100% of all money goes to the school. No overhead, no extra costs, just a bunch of radical students wanting to do something different! Yes, I am a teacher at this school; yes, I am trying to raise money for this as well, and yes, I am asking you to donate! No hidden agendas, just want to give you the opportunity to be part of some radical idea!

The background: One year old Nyima Koroma was born in one of the poorest countries in the world, Sierra Leone, Africa. Her opportunities for a full and healthy life would be greatly improved if she could go to school. What we begin today can influence her future.

For just $25,000, we can build a primary school in her village an give her something to dream about. Fraser Valley Christian High School has partnered with Christian Extension Services in her community with the goal of making this school a reality.Your gift can help make this happen. Make cheques payable to FVCHS-African School Project. Amounts of $25 or more will receive a tax deductible receipt.

Oh, where do you send those cheques:

Hey Beimers,
Good to see the progress of the school planning in Sierra Leone. We are in the middle of trying to get some of the sponsored orphans here in better schools. Once you are here, you really see the need for education and a opportunity to have a better life through education. Tell all your students not to take education for granted!!!! Hows Madelyn doing? I hope she is continuing to grow! Tell all the staff that I say hello! Take Care,
