Well, lots of criticisim of the logo. I am not sure why so many people thought it would be much different than this. The leaks about the jersey and everything CEO Chris Zimmerman said indicated they would keep the "birthing whale" (as Don Taylor calls it). The colours are sweet; they tie the jersey to the original and fit the new Reebok style jerseys. Some people were hoping for Johnny Canuck as the logo. That would've been nice, but maybe they will use it for a third jersey for 2008-2009. The mock up below was what some people were anticipating. I do admit that I like the idea, but have no problem with these new ones.
At first I didn't really like the writing on the top, and one person rightly talked about the "C" being too close to the logo on Naslund's jersey, but it is growing on me. I don't think it is necesary to have "Vancouver" on it, but from a marketing standpoint, I think it will work. All that being said, I give these a thumbs up.

Yeah, they're alright. Part of me wishes that they would bring back the "angry skate" in the bright red. I didn't hold my breath though.
