This is for my dear friend Gerald who is a pig farmer in Ontario. Gerald was also my roommate in college my senior year. Gerald was not only an amazing singer (no one can sing Whitesnake like him), but an amazing dancer. Well, sort of amazing. When I saw this video, I thought of Gerald for a very simple reason: I am quite sure I have seen Gerald dance almost everyone of these dances in our small college rooms on the campus of a small Christian college in Northwest Iowa. And if you think about that, it is quite amazing for a lanky dutch kid with brilliant red hair to have any sort of rhythm at all.
Gerald, I love you. I miss you. This dance is for you.
