Dancing in the Dark All Night Long

Someone has me today if I liked the the Boss's concert better than u2. But that is like asking me which of the Sedins I prefer. Tough question. But Bev and I both agreed that we think we actually liked the Boss better, simply because it was more personal, stripped down, and raw. It was easy to feel that the guy in front of you would be the guy you met out on the street. So real, so authentic. Hereis a good review of the evening and the music that I don't need to rewrite.

Personal song favorites (in no particular order). Badlands, PromiseLand, The Rising, No Surrender, Radio Nowhere, Americanland,...well, I could list them all, but they really moved me. I just don't think you can write this kind of music and sing with so much intensity and passion and not be on some spiritual journey. That was apparent in the arena last night. In that sense, it reminded me U2.

Other notes: There were 14 people from our family there last night: Bev, me, Soph, Mike, Ed, Marg, Alison, Andrew, Laura, Heather, Danny, Michael, Joel, Elise, and Laura. Danny, Michael, and Joel got in the pit and if you watch "Born to Run" below, you'll see my nephew Michael front and center on the big screen at 1:59. These guys were right in the mixer. A great night.
